Dick Francis Memorial

Displayed are pictures of the Dick Francis sculpture and memorial at Aintree Racecourse where I had the privilege of carving the Portland stone base. The base was designed to display the great works of Mr Francis including his time spent as a champion national hunt jockey, wartime RAF pilot, bestselling author and Aintree racecourse trustee amongst other accomplishments in his life.
After installing the work in the days leading up to the festival it was unveiled by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal on day one of the 2022 Randox Grand National Festival.
